September Family Events in Orange County

Happy September! The weather is beautiful this time of year and there are plenty of September family events in Orange County for you to choose from!

September 7-10

9/7 – Parent’s Night Out at Pretend City in Irvine 6-9pm ($30 per child, $25 two or more children)

9/7 – Family Fun Zone Fridays at Newport Harbor Nautical Museum 5:30-9pm (free admission for members, $2 for non-members)

9/7-9/9 – Original Long Beach Lobster Fest in Long Beach ($13 ages 12 and older, visit their site for a coupon)

9/8 – Grape Day Festival at Grape Day Park in Escondido (free admission)

9/9 – Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon at North Beach Dog Beach in Del Mar (free spectator admission, $35/55 to participate)

9/9-9/30 – Oktoberfest Orange County at Old World Huntington Beach ($5 admission Fri-Sun)

 

September 14-17

9/14-9/16 – Taste of Newport

9/14-9/16 – Sand Sports Super Show at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa ($15 per day, children 12 and under are free)

9/16 – Surf Guitar Bands at Huntington Beach Pier, 11am-5pm (free admission)

 

September 21-24

9/22 – Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch in Irvine 10am-5pm daily (coupons available for train rides and food, pay for parking) ONGOING UNTIL HALLOWEEN! 

9/22 – Hullabaloo Family Arts Festival in San Diego (I know, I know – not OC, but close, and it’s a great event!) ($7/person)

9/22 – KROQ Epicenter Festival (Not so kid friendly) in Irvine ($15-300)

9/22 – National Speedway Championship at Costa Mesa Speedway in Costa Mesa ($20 adults, $15 ages 13-17, $10 ages 3-12, 2 and under free)

 

September 28-Oct 1

9/28 – Summer Concert Series at Hyatt Regency Newport presents Robin Thicke ($90-110)

9/29 – Smithsonian magazine Museum Day  Free admission to select venues. Click link to find one near you!

9/29 – Global Village Festival in Irvine (free admission)

9/30 – Orange County Children’s Book Festival
